“Vinyl is waterproof, right?”
Water-resistant. Not waterproof. Water can get in at the joints and edges.
So normal mopping is fine. Wipe spills up, and don't leave water standing.

A question we wrote from what homeowners ask
“Will new vinyl stop my doors from closing?”
It can. Laying over the old floor adds height. Door frames get undercut or a gap left, and every door checked.
Check the wardrobe doors and sliding tracks too.
Measure every door. Put any trimming on the quote.
